An assessment is a way of determining a learner’s existing knowledge, skills, and experience before they enrol on a course. It also helps identify any support needs a learner might have.
When you take an assessment, you will have a short interview to talk about your requirements and we may check your level of English, Maths, Digital Skills and Vocational pathways, so we can enrol you on a course suitable for your level and skills.
If you are new to Learn Harrow, you can register online at www.learnharrow.ac.uk. To begin, follow the link to register with Learn Harrow and create your account. You can also click the “My Account” tab in the top menu and select Sign Up.
For accredited courses such as English, ESOL, Maths, Digital Skills, and Vocational courses, you will need to register for an assessment and interview at the beginning of each term.
If you experience any issues completing your online form, please email us at learnharrow@harrow.gov.uk for assistance.
If you have already attended one of our courses, you follow the “My Account” tab to “sign in”. If you have forgotten your password, please click “Forgot Password”.
BKSB (Basic Key Skills Builder) is an online tool we use to assess your current level in English and Maths. It helps us understand your starting point so we can place you in the most suitable course level and provide the right support.
You will only need to complete the BKSB assessment if your course requires an initial assessment or diagnostic. If this applies to you, you’ll receive an automatic email with instructions.
There is no need to worry about completing it before your course begins — your tutor will guide you through the process and offer support every step of the way.
The course fee is shown for each course on our website.
