What the course is about
We offer vocational courses in Health and Social Care, Childcare/Early Years and Teaching Assistant.
Health and Social Care we offer:
- Certificate Introduction to Health, Social Care and Children’s and Young People’s Settings Level 1
- Certificate in Health & Social Care Level 2
- Diploma in Adult Care Level 3
Childcare/Early Years we offer
- Award/Certificate in Childcare Entry 3
- Certificate in Caring for Children Level 1
- Diploma Early Years Practitioner Level 2 (license to practice)
- Diploma Early Years Educator Level 3 (license to practice)
Supporting teaching and Learning
- Award in Preparing to teach in school Level 1
Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning Level 2
Previous experience, knowledge or qualifications
During initial assessment we would assess you for your English level including reading and writing assessments.
As a guide
- for Entry 3 and Level 1 courses ideally you need to be at Entry 3/ Level 1 ESOL or English
- For Level 2 and 3 courses you need to be working towards Level 1 or 2 Functional Skills English.
For Level 3 courses you will need to have some experience in the HSC or Early Years sector or academic background at Level 3 in other qualifications.

All our vocational courses are portfolio and assignment based.
Level 2 Early Years and STL and L3 Early Years courses will also have workplace observations
On our Level 2 and 3 Childcare courses you will have to complete placement hours 250 hrs on Level 2 equivalent to 6 hrs a week and 350 hours on Level 3 equivalent to 12 hours a week
Next Step
After completing the vocational course learners will be able to progress to next level subject to passing the initial assessment for English including reading and writing at the next level.
